This article analyzes the essence of the medical profession, the ethical and psychological readiness required to enter it, and the interrelation between personal values and professional responsibility. By its very nature, medicine requires not only professional knowledge and skills but also a high level of humanity, dedication, and moral integrity. The article explores, both theoretically and empirically, the role of personal values in the career choice of medical students and professionals, as well as how these values influence professional responsibility.
