Abstract

This article explores the peculiarities of teaching the Russian language in a non-native environment, particularly in Uzbekistan, where Russian remains an important means of interethnic communication. The paper analyzes modern approaches and methodological principles aimed at improving the effectiveness of teaching Russian as a foreign language. In a multilingual context, teachers must consider students’ native language, cultural background, and motivational factors. The use of communicative, interactive, and competence-based approaches helps develop practical language skills and intercultural competence. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of integrating traditional and innovative teaching methods and preparing teachers capable of adapting the learning process to the modern realities of Uzbekistan.
