Abstract

This article explores the semantic characteristics of jewelry terminology in English. The study examines the etymology, metaphorical use, and cultural connotations of jewelry-related lexemes, aiming to identify how these terms evolve and function in different communicative contexts. The findings suggest that jewelry terms not only reflect material objects but also encapsulate complex layers of meaning related to identity, emotion, status, and social rituals.
