discusses the fact that English is one of the most widely used languages in international communication. When studying the role of english as a world language, it is worth mentioning that there are several variants of english today, especially if we distinguish two of them: British and American variants. This article highlights the importance of English as a global language because most of the world's communication is done in English. In particular, this article provides information on the wider use of English as a primary language of communication in scientific discoveries and technology, education, employment, commerce, the Internet, travel and tourism, press and media.
