The gastrointestinal tract is susceptible to a variety of pathological conditions, many of which are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. This review focuses on five major gastrointestinal diseases: gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease (PUD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), colorectal cancer (CRC), and celiac disease. The aim of the study was to highlight the key etiological factors, histopathological features, and clinical characteristics of these disorders based on current scientific literature. A narrative review method was used to collect and analyze data from peer-reviewed sources. Each disease demonstrates distinct pathological patterns that are essential for accurate diagnosis and management. Understanding these features is crucial for improving patient outcomes through timely intervention and appropriate therapeutic strategies.References
