Abstract

The treatment of epilepsy in children requires an individualized approach due to the wide variety of syndromes, age-related pharmacokinetic differences, and limitations in the use of antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). The use of pediatric-specific pharmaceutical forms enhances safety, tolerability, and adherence. This article discusses modern strategies for epilepsy therapy in pediatric patients, focusing on age considerations, drug formulations, and optimal dosing.
