Abstract

The relationship between language and technology represents one of the most dynamic intersections in modern linguistics. From the invention of writing systems to the emergence of artificial intelligence, technology has continually reshaped the ways humans communicate, learn, and preserve knowledge. This article explores the impact of technology on language use, structure, and learning through a literature-based analysis. It examines how digital communication, artificial intelligence, and online learning tools influence linguistic behavior, language change, and sociocultural interaction. Findings suggest that while technology enhances accessibility, creativity, and global communication, it also introduces challenges related to language standardization, digital inequality, and authenticity. The study concludes that linguists and educators must adapt by embracing technological literacy and rethinking the role of language in a technologically mediated world.
