Abstract

Non-pharmacological preparation of children for anesthesia is an important component of modern pediatric anesthesiology. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of non-pharmacological preparation methods and their impact on perioperative outcomes. The study included 104 children aged 4–10 years undergoing elective surgery at the Republican Children's Surgery Center. Parental presence during induction, music therapy, and play-based psychological preparation were applied. These methods significantly reduced anxiety levels, stabilized hemodynamic parameters, and decreased the incidence of emergence delirium.
