Abstract

This article analyzes the methodological approaches to the development of students’ competencies, the mechanisms for their implementation and the content and results of research work carried out in this direction. The theoretical foundations of the competency approach, the effectiveness indicators of the methods and technologies used in the educational process, as well as the role of integrative, innovative and interactive methodologies in the development of knowledge, skills and competencies of students are studied. The article covers the current problems encountered in the formation of competencies and proposals for their elimination, with a comparative analysis of scientific ideas put forward by various authors. The results of the study serve to create a methodological basis for modernizing the educational process, improving the professional and general educational competencies of students.
