Abstract

This study delves into the historical perspectives and contemporary approaches to managing patients with complete edentia. Complete edentia, or total tooth loss, has been a longstanding challenge for individuals, impacting their oral health, overall well-being, and quality of life. Through an exploration of historical developments in dentistry, this paper traces the evolution of treatment modalities and sheds light on the changing paradigms in the management of complete edentia. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of preventive measures in oral health to mitigate the risk of complete edentia and discusses the basics of preventive dentistry as an integral component of comprehensive patient care.
