NORMS OF RUSSIAN ORTHOEPY IN MODERN MEDIA SPEECH: TRENDS IN COMPLIANCE AND VIOLATIONS

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the analysis of the orthoepic norms of modern Russian and the peculiarities of their implementation in the media space. The main trends in the observance and violation of pronunciation norms in the speech of journalists, TV hosts, and bloggers are considered. The work analyzes the most common accentual errors and fluctuations in the pronunciation of borrowed words. Special attention is paid to the influence of media speech on the formation of the language culture of society. The conclusion is drawn about the dual role of the media: on the one hand, they act as translators of literary norms, and on the other hand, they reflect the processes of language democratization and the intensification of colloquial elements in public communication.
