Abstract

This article discusses the importance of the lentil plant in agriculture, its nutritional value, and the economic efficiency of its cultivation. It highlights that lentils are rich in protein and contain many vitamins and minerals that are important for human health. In addition, its resistance to drought, low water requirements, and its role in improving soil fertility are analyzed. The article also provides information about the role of lentils in crop rotation systems, global production indicators, and the prospects for developing this crop in the future.
