Abstract

The article examines the processes of phraseological innovation in modern Russian-language and Internet discourse from the perspective of functional and normative analysis. Special attention is paid to the mechanisms of transformation of traditional phraseological units, as well as the formation of new stable expressions in the context of digital communication. The article analyzes the functions of phraseological innovations (evaluative, expressive, ironic, identification), their role in the formation of a network linguistic personality and a collective picture of the world. The problem of the relationship between usage and norm is considered, as well as the prospects for codification of new phraseological units. The research material was the texts of Internet communication: comments, memes, posts on social networks and demotivators.
