This article analyzes the scientific-theoretical and practical management of the subject of normal physiology in higher education institutions to ensure the mechanisms for creating independent learning capacity of students. Improving the appearance of independent learning of students in the modern education system is a strategic task. The study examined the didactic foundations of independent learning, pedagogical conditions and methods of effective organization. It was substantiated that the complex theoretical and practical content of the subject of normal physiology requires a high level of independent learning competence from students.
