Abstract

this article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the concept of metacognition in pedagogical and psychological research, its structural components, and effective approaches to developing metacognitive competencies in future teachers. The article also provides a detailed discussion of pedagogical strategies used to develop metacognitive skills, including explicit teaching, the think-aloud method, metacognitive dialogue, the principle of optimal difficulty, and integrative training models.
