Abstract

This article examines unemployment and its socio-economic consequences in developing countries. The study analyzes the main causes of unemployment, including rapid population growth, insufficient industrial development, lack of investment, and the mismatch between education systems and labor market demands. The research also highlights the negative impact of unemployment on economic growth, poverty, migration, social stability, and psychological well-being. In addition, the article discusses the role of digital transformation, globalization, and labor market reforms in reducing unemployment levels. The study is based on analytical and descriptive research methods and provides practical recommendations for improving employment opportunities and achieving sustainable socio-economic development in developing countries.
